About
Our Mission: Empowering UK Homes with Plug-in Power
Welcome to Plug in solar UK. I’m John and I started this site because the UK energy market changed forever in 2026.
With the recent passing of BS 7671 Amendment 4, "Plug-and-Play" solar is no longer a grey area—it is a legal, safe, and incredibly effective way for UK renters and homeowners to fight back against rising energy caps.
Why I Focus on EcoFlow
I’ve spent years tracking renewable tech, and I believe EcoFlow is currently leading the "Energy Independence" revolution in the UK.
Whether it's the STREAM 800W system for flat-dwellers or the DELTA Pro 3 for whole-home backup, these systems offer something traditional solar can't: Portability and Simplicity. If you move house, your power moves with you.
What You’ll Find Here
This isn't just a site of spec sheets. I provide:
Real UK Testing: How do these panels perform in a classic British overcast Tuesday?
Compliance Guides: Everything you need to know about G98 notifications and the latest 2026 UK wiring standards.
Tariff Optimisation: Tips on using the EcoFlow AI app to charge batteries when UK electricity is cheapest (or even free!).
To keep this site running and provide in-depth reviews, I participate in the Amazon Associates program. This means if you decide to buy a system through one of my links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend gear that I believe delivers genuine value for money in the current UK economy.
